Gain confidence in the preparation and performance of audition pieces. In particular, develop an understanding of monologues that suit your skills and strengths as a performer.

Course components

  • Apply Stanislavski’s technique towards a rigorous self-rehearsal process
  • Select, prepare, rehearse and perform suitable monologues for your casting type.
  • Work alongside an industry expert to master a successful audition piece.


  • Application of Stanislavski technique in the preparation of audition material.
  • Ability to self-select and rehearse audition material.
  • Guidance and feedback from an industry practitioner regarding audition technique.


You will be expected to learn a two minute monologue prior to the commencement of this course.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate.
  • Please wear closed-in shoes. Shoes may be removed in the rehearsal room on the direction of the class tutor.
  • Please bring along a pen, notebook or electronic device and a bottle of water to all classes.
