Kate Sherman

Program Manager – Schools and Community

Kate is an educator, movement researcher and performance maker. She is the Program Manager of Schools and Communities at NIDA Open and teaches performance making on the BFA Acting program. Kate has been a teaching artist with NIDA since 2005 and has taught for many other organisations including Belvoir St Theatre, Legs on the Wall and the VCA. Kate Graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting (NIDA) in 2005 and has a Graduate Certificate in Arts and Community Engagement from The VCA (Victorian College of the Arts). She is an award winning performance maker with her most recent full length work Animal winning multiple Green Room Awards in 2017. She was most recently invited to an Artist Residency at Chateau Orquevaux in France to research a VR Film project and worked on a project, Scribe, with Leisa Shelton for Dance Massive.
