Daniella is a professional theatre practitioner and arts educator based in Sydney, Australia. As a strong believer in the individual and group benefits of drama for young people and adults, she enjoys watching her students' progress in their artistic endeavours as they creatively draw on their experiences with the outer world.

Originally from South Africa, Daniella holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Movement Directing at NIDA and a Bachelor of Arts Degree specialising in Dramatic Arts from Wits University, South Africa. She has worked extensively as an actor, dancer, movement- director, and choreographer for over 18 years for a number of companies including Sydney Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company, Spiegelworld Absinthe, The Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative, and Showtime Management. As winner of The Amanda Holmes Award and Oppenheimer Memorial Trust Award, she is devoted to her craft of devising new works and cultivating an interest in how the actor becomes a primary vehicle for physically presenting and representing human experience.

Daniella was the Head of Movement for Sydney Theatre School for over five years, where she later became the Training and Assessment Manager in Vocational Education Training delivering and designing the Diploma of Acting and Advanced Diploma of Acting courses. She has worked for NIDA Open and NIDA Corporate departments for more than 10 years as a tutor and is committed to the quality and consistency of programs within the organisation that deliver stimulating and industry current content while supporting NIDA’s practice based training philosophy.
