Are you an experienced or newly trained performing artist who wants to bring your passion for drama into the classroom? Join a NIDA Open teaching artist in this practical two-day course designed to help you teach performance and drama to children and young people. Learn how to adapt your creative practice for a classroom setting, developing the skills needed to structure engaging drama classes for students aged 5-16. Discover effective strategies for classroom management, providing constructive feedback and creating a supportive learning environment.
You will receive personalised feedback as you collaborate with fellow educators and upon completion of the course, you’ll be equipped to plan and deliver age-appropriate drama lessons, implement effective classroom management techniques, and understand the social and ethical considerations crucial when working with young learners.
