Extended courses

For the committed creative.
Entry by audition, interview or application. Studios, Residencies, Ensembles.

Ensembles
Ensemble classes take place on one or two evenings per week over a half-year. Entry is by audition.

Residencies take place in January and June each year over 2-4 weeks. Entry into a NIDA Residency is by selection.

Degree and VET

After completion of year 12 or equivalent and over the age of 18 years. Higher education in degree or diploma courses OR Continue short courses for adults with NIDA Open.

Extended courses

Grades 7-10

For the committed young creative in grades 7-10 courses include Performance Lab, Next Stage and extended term classes.

Entry by audition, interview or application.

Performance Lab
Entry by audition, this is a one year acting course, with a January and July student intake.

Next Stage
For students that have completed at least three NIDA term or holiday courses (or equivalent). Courses to develop a range of performance skills across a semester (two terms).

Extended Term classes

People 15 years+

For the committed young creative over 15 years of age courses include Studios and Residencies. Entry to these extended courses is by audition, interview or application.

Residencies

Residencies take place in January and June each year over 2-4 weeks. Entry into a NIDA Residency is by selection.
