Overview

Dive into the thrilling world of Found Footage Horror with our exciting, practical, week-long filmmaking course to create your very own paranormal found footage documentary. Devise and develop stories and explore the creative development process from script writing and storyboarding to pre-production and shooting to realise your spine-chilling tale. Engage in the directing and acting process using collage and documentary filmmaking techniques to build tension in your storytelling. 

NIDA Open teaching artists bring their industry experience to our classrooms to nurture young filmmakers and artists. Join us in this collaborative environment designed to inspire creativity, teamwork and confidence and receive a copy of your terrifying film to share with family and friends. 

Components

  • Acting Technique: Explore characterization and build technical skills through improvisation and the application of NIDA acting technique to an on-screen performance. 
  • Production: Gain an understanding of various creative and production roles including camera operator, producer, writer and actor. 
  • Filmmaking: Develop rehearse and produce a short film 
  • Post-production: Apply editing techniques to best enhance your film footage.
