Musical Theatre Boot Camp, Grades 10-12
Overview
Welcome to the wonderful world of Musical Theatre. Work with a NIDA Open Teaching Artist to develop your singing and acting skills and learn how to bring stories to life through song. Work with an ensemble of like-minded peers in this exciting introduction to musical theatre. Create a short presentation for family and friends at the end of the course.
Join like-minded peers and experience the joy of musical theatre in an inclusive environment at NIDA Open, where our teaching artists bring their industry expertise and creative practice into every class.
Components
- Singing: Focus on developing your vocal range and ability through singing workshops.
- Acting: Apply NIDA acting technique to song lyrics to unlock the meaning behind the words.
- Physical awareness: Understand movement and how it can inform character and storytelling choices.
