Musical Theatre Boot Camp, Grades 7-10
Overview
Welcome to the wonderful world of Musical Theatre. Work with a NIDA Open Teaching Artist to develop your singing and acting skills and learn how to bring stories to life through song. Work with an ensemble of like-minded peers in this exciting introduction to Musical Theatre. Create a short presentation for family and friends at the end of the course.
Join like-minded peers and experience the joy of musical theatre in an inclusive environment at NIDA Open, where our teaching artists bring their industry expertise and creative practice into every class.
Components
- Voice and Song: Learn how the voice works, develop confidence with singing technique and performance.
- Creative Expression: Participate in fun and engaging acting exercises to develop new creative ideas with others.
- Text interpretation: Bring to life through the application of acting technique a musical theatre song text.
