NIDA Acting Techniques: The Actor’s Toolkit

Overview

Ignite your passion for performance in this dynamic, skills-based course designed for beginner actors. Explore the fundamental skills of the Stanislavski system of acting and investigate exercises in spontaneity, voice and movement, and improvisation. 

Collaborate with an ensemble of like-minded performers and apply the actor’s toolkit to a variety of short texts. 

Components  

  • Apply the Stanislavski system of acting to text   
  • Extending vocal technique through text  
  • Introduction to script analysis 

Prerequisites

This course is classified as Beginner. No previous experience is necessary.
