NIDA Online: Introduction to Acting

Overview

Embark on your journey into the art of acting with NIDA Open’s introductory online course. Explore action-based techniques, nurture your creativity and hone-in on the essential skills that underpin all great performances.   

Under the guidance of our dedicated NIDA teaching artists, discover the power of storytelling and engage in practical exercises that develop your inner playfulness. Collaborate with likeminded people in practical exercises, interpret short texts and enhance your physical and vocal awareness as you begin your creative journey.  

Delivery: Face to face via Zoom, 3 × 2 hour sessions  

Components

  • Improve your creative expression and participate in engaging exercises to develop creative ideas with others.                                    
  • Develop skills in text analysis as you interpret and perform short dramatic texts.  
  • Develop your physical awareness for performance through practical exercises designed for remote learning. 

Level

This course is Beginner level.
