Unleash your creative potential with NIDA Open’s Screen Acting Boot Camp. Dive into fundamental screen acting techniques, improvisation, character development and text analysis while building your on-screen confidence and forming friendships with like-minded peers. Work in a collaborative ensemble to create believable on-screen scenes in a nurturing environment.  

NIDA Open’s teaching artists bring their creative practice and industry expertise directly to the classroom, ensuring contemporary and engaging learning experiences for all students.  This exciting course is the perfect start for young actors eager to explore their on-screen acting skills.  

Components

  • Technique: Practice acting to camera techniques. Discover the difference between live and recorded performance craft.   
  • Text interpretation: Bring to life through the application of acting technique a short, written text for recorded performance.  
  • Character Development: Develop and record a character from a scripted scene.
