Overview

Step into the spotlight and become a TV host! In this exciting holiday course, young presenters will explore on-camera techniques, build their vocal and physical presence, and learn how to construct compelling stories for on-air segments. You’ll practice interview skills, develop your unique on-camera persona, and present both live and recorded pieces to the camera.  

Taught by our experienced NIDA Open teaching artists, students will flourish in a dynamic and supportive environment. Get ready to shine on screen and showcase your work for family and friends at the end of the course. 

Components

• Presence: Develop a confident presentation persona as you develop your on-camera technique. 
• Interviews: Examine effective interview techniques for lifestyle television as you write and present your own interviews. 
• Technique: Explore vocal and physical range as you participate in a variety of practical exercises.
