NIDA Open extends this world‑class training beyond our iconic Sydney campus and into Brisbane, offering short courses for young people and adults at all stages of their creative journey. Whether you’re taking your first step or refining your skills, NIDA Open empowers you to explore your creativity and unlock your potential across a wide range of dramatic arts disciplines.

NIDA Open offers a range of courses and experiences for young people in Grades 7-12 across a variety of disciplines. With courses in drama, acting on screen, musical theatre, writing, filmmaking and public speaking there are opportunities to develop communication and ensemble skills through creative collaboration, explore creative potential and engage in contemporary practice-based skills training. 

NIDA Open offers short courses for adults across the spectrum of dramatic arts disciplines including acting, presenting, musical theatre, design, technical theatre and stage management, writing and directing.  With offerings in classrooms and online, everyone has access to our world class training.

Our Young Actors Studio and Screen Actors Studio offer dynamic environment where rigorous, practice-driven learning is delivered in a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

TAFE Queensland is NIDA Open’s Brisbane venue partner. It is Queensland’s largest vocational education provider, located in the urban hub of South Brisbane.
