Courses

See How Creativity Grows this Summer
NIDA Open’s courses are the perfect way for young people and adults to step into the world of performance, creativity and storytelling.

Designed for young people (ages 12-18), our Summer Holiday short courses cover everything from acting and improvisation to screen performance, musical theatre, design, and more. Whether your child is taking their very first steps on stage or looking to deepen their skills, our tutors create a supportive, fun and inspiring environment to learn, grow and connect with others.

The Summer School offers adults (ages 18 and up) short courses across a variety of creative disciplines including acting, musical theatre, directing, writing, design, and more. Courses are offered for all skill levels, from Introduction to Advanced.

From one-day workshops to multi-week courses, NIDA Open offers programs that build confidence, spark imagination, and give students practical tools they can use both on and off the stage. With courses held at NIDA Sydney and in locations across Australia, there’s something for every storyteller.
