Explore the canon of Broadway musicals. Develop the vocal, acting and movement skills required to give a dynamic musical theatre performance both as a solo and ensemble performer.

Course components

• Expand your repertoire with industry professionals as you rehearse and perform songs from popular Broadway Musicals.
• Apply NIDA acting technique to communicate effectively through song and dance with an audience.
• Work with industry professionals to develop your dance ability and vocal technique.

Outcomes

• Ability to take direction when performing music theatre performance pieces from Broadway.
• Communication of a theatrical story through lyrics and dance.
• Application of acting technique to Broadway Musical repertoire.

• Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate.
• Please wear closed-in shoes. Shoes may be removed in the rehearsal room on the direction of the class tutor.
• Please bring along a pen, notebook or electronic device and a bottle of water to all classes.
