Explore techniques to expand your actor’s toolkit in this dynamic stage and screen course! Develop essential acting and performance skills, approaches to text analysis and character development, and build voice and movement skills for both live and recorded performances. 

Our expert NIDA Open teaching artists bring their creative practice and industry experience directly into the classroom, ensuring contemporary, engaging student learning. Under their guidance, you’ll explore your inner-actor and showcase your discoveries in a final presentation to family and friends at the end of the course.   • Text interpretation: Interpret and bring to life a short-written text for live and recorded performance. 
  • Character Development: Develop a character for live and recorded performance. 
  • Performance Craft: Consider the elements that contribute to the physical realization of a live and recorded performance.
