Jump into a week of stage and screen fun, where you’ll explore the art of acting in this exciting course designed for young people in Grades 7-10. Unleash your creativity with activities in improvisation, voice and movement and learn how to create unique characters in a supportive and inclusive environment. Explore text analysis to develop scene work and bring your new skills to life in an exciting on-screen performance. Showcase your stage and screen skills in live and recorded scenes to your NIDA Open friends.

Components
- Craft: Participate in improvised scene work to develop basic acting and improvisation technique
- Technique: Practice acting to camera techniques. Discover the difference between live and recorded performance craft.
- Text interpretation: Bring to life through the application of acting technique a short, written text for live and recorded performance.
- Character Development: Develop and record a character from a scripted scene.
