Overview

Join us to take the first step toward audition success! Elevate your skills and explore the art of auditioning for theatre, film and TV in this comprehensive course. You’ll explore improvisation skills, develop techniques for acting on screen and participate in simulated live auditions and screen tests. Learn to select and prepare audition material that highlights your strengths and gain confidence in your performance.  

Our expert NIDA Open teaching artists will introduce you to essential audition preparation techniques, including text analysis and on-screen performance skills, in a collaborative and supportive environment. Experience industry aligned practice-based training, ignite your creativity and ensure you’re ready for any audition challenge. 

Components

  • Text interpretation: Interpret and bring to life a short-written text for live and recorded performance. 
  • Industry knowledge: Learn what casting agents and directors expect from actors through the audition process. 
  • Audition Practice: Participate in simulated live auditions and screen tests.
