Overview

Unleash your creative potential with NIDA Open’s Screen Acting Boot Camp! Dive into fundamental screen acting techniques, improvisation, character development and text analysis while building your on-screen confidence and forming friendships with like-minded peers. Work in a collaborative ensemble to create believable on-screen scenes in a nurturing environment.  

NIDA Open’s teaching artists bring their creative practice and industry expertise directly to the classroom, ensuring contemporary and engaging learning experiences for all students.  This exciting course is the perfect start for young actors eager to explore their on-screen acting skills. 

Components

  • Performance: Identify the given circumstances of your scene, apply actions and pinpoint your character’s objective as you create engaging on screen performances.  
  • Characterisation: Participate in practical exercises under the guidance of an industry expert designed to provide you with tools to create diverse character depictions.  
  • Technique: Establish a relationship with the camera as you master hitting your mark, eye line techniques and develop an on-screen personal presence.
