Level: Core Techniques

Practise the techniques made famous by Sanford Meisner for actors, directors and teachers. Through repetition exercises, imaginative preparation and action playing, learn how to be truthful and in the moment while forming strong connections between performers.

Course components

• Practically explore and master Meisner techniques to unlock truth and meaning on the rehearsal room floor.
• Uncover the preparation strategies required to be ‘living truth’ as a Meisner actor.
• Create truthful characters through the effective use of impulse and imagination.

• Truthful character creation through the application of the Meisner Technique.
• Autonomous and confident preparation for performance

• Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate.
• Please wear closed-in shoes. Shoes may be removed in the rehearsal room on the direction of the class tutor.
• Please bring along a pen, notebook or electronic device and a bottle of water to all classes.
