Explore how make-up and hair play a part in creating authentic characters on screen. Investigate styling and application techniques and discover how to maintain hair and make-up continuity. Experiment with special effects to achieve dramatic impact.

Course components

  • Design hair and make-up for characters using text as a stimulus.
  • Explore the use of appropriate hair and make-up techniques through application on fellow participants.
  • Design and apply special effects make-up.

Some experience recommended.

Course enrolment is open to people over 18 years old. This course is available specifically for residents of the Northern Territory.

Course Information

The course will run 10am-5pm with a 45min lunch break. Lunch is not provided.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate.
  • Please wear closed-in shoes. Shoes may be removed in the rehearsal room on the direction of the class tutor.
  • Please bring along a pen, notebook or electronic device and a bottle of water to all classes.
