NIDA Adventures in Storytelling Grades 4-6

Adventures in Storytelling Grades 4-6

Holiday course

Adventures in Storytelling is an exciting new program for students in grades 4–6 who are looking to further develop their skills in improvisation, devising and performing. Students participate in a transmedia storytelling experience, collaborate with one another and create and perform their own stories. We can’t tell you much more here, (it will ruin the surprise!) but if you would like to know more call NIDA Open on 9697 7626.

Course components

  • Ensemble: Work as part of a team to develop a shared creative vision.
  • Storytelling: Create stories and apply dramaturgical models to develop work.
  • Creative Voice: Respond to a range of stimuli to generate ideas and create stories.
  • Spontaneity : Explore stories, ideas and narrative scene work through improvisation.
  • Performance : Apply acting, voice and movement practice to short performances.
