Embody the English Standard Accent and heighten your vocal confidence. Explore the phonetics of the English accent and learn the placement of various dialects. Apply these skills to text and discover unique approaches to character as you get serious about accents!

Learning Outcomes

• Phonetics: learn the technical essentials of the Standard English accent and its variations
• Apply technique to a variety of texts.
• Understand the necessity of vocal clarity for creative expression both online or face to face

• Desktop, laptop or mobile with microphone and webcam
• Internet connection

Time Commitment

• Online: 3 × 2 hour sessions
• Self-directed learning: 60 min vocal exercises and practice as well as text work between classes
